Multi-Purpose Cushion

Do you experience pain in your buttocks, sitting bones or tailbone when sitting?

This is a common problem for so many of our patients, particularly when sitting on firm surfaces. The pain is commonly related to nerve conditions (piriformis syndrome or deep gluteal syndrome), tendon conditions (proximal hamstring tendinopathy) or tailbone pain (coccydynia).

A decompression - waffle foam - cushion such as the multipurpose cushion pictured above, can be very helpful in reducing sitting pain. Many of our patients have found these cushions have made a huge difference to their sitting tolerance.

Wedge Cushion

Does sitting for an extended period of time cause you pain?

The posture wedge cushion is a foam cushion with a slight downward slope. The cushion works by lifting the hips higher than the knees, encouraging your body into a more upright position, thus lessening back pain. There's also less irritating compression at the front and sides of the hips, alleviating hip and pelvic pain. Improving the positioning of your back and pelvis assists with sitting-related neck and upper back pain. Cushion is great for:

  • gluteal tendinopathy or bursitis
  • hip osteoarthritis/ hip labral tears
  • femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS)
  • many types of back pain

Tailbone Support Cushion

This foam seat cushion will add comfort to your chair, bench, car seat, plane seat, floor, or wheelchair. The rear cutout provides back pain relief by reducing pressure on the tailbone. Meanwhile, the ergonomically designed contour shape of the pillow promotes healthy weight distribution, posture, proper spine alignment, and superior comfort. Most importantly, it will not flatten out like other cushions because it uses the highest quality 100% open cell 'breathing' urethane foam, for optimal support over long stretches of time.
