PhysioTec is Moving to Salisbury: New Brisbane Physiotherapy location
Same Team. Same Care. New Location.
Join us at our new location in Salisbury!
After more than two decades serving the local community, we’re excited to share some big news: PhysioTec is moving just over Toohey Hill, from Tarragindi to Salisbury.
From Monday 27th July, you’ll find us at our new clinic:
Upper Level 19/655 Toohey Road, Salisbury
Same friendly team, same evidence-based, patient-centred care that PhysioTec has been known for since we first opened our doors in 2004 — just in a more accessible space. We are on the upper level but there is both lift and stair access. There is also a mobility parking space and a dedicated PhysioTec parking space right outside, and then a large carpark at the Evans Rd entry - a short walk. We are very excited to be able to offer easy parking for your visit.
Why We're Moving
Our Tarragindi clinic has been home for over 20 years, and it’s not a decision we’ve taken lightly. But our new Salisbury location gives us the opportunity to offer you an even better experience and a location that’s easy to get to.
What's Great About Our New Home
Easier parking — no more circling the block. Our new Salisbury Central location offers plentiful, convenient parking right in the centre.
Accessible location — easy to find, easy to get to, whether you’re driving in from across Brisbane or popping in locally.
Lift access to the upper level — no worrying about climbing the stairs, but of course, take the stairs for that extra bit of exercise, depending on the stage of your rehabilitation journey.
Cafes nearby — grab a coffee before or after your appointment, or make a morning of it.
The same team, the same care — every physiotherapist you know and trust is making the move with us.
A word from our Principal Physiotherapist
Dr. Alison Grimaldi
“We’ve loved being part of this community for over 20 years, and we’re bringing everything that’s made PhysioTec what it is to our new home at Salisbury Central. Salisbury is just over Toohey Hill from Tarragindi - about 5 minutes drive. Our patients can expect exactly the same quality, individualised care — just in a space that makes it even easier to visit us.”

Our Salisbury Physiotherapy Services
Special Expertise in Hip, Buttock, and Groin Pain
PhysioTec has built its reputation on hip, buttock and groin pain over more than 20 years. Our principal physiotherapist, Dr Alison Grimaldi, holds a PhD and is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist, Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, and Senior Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. With over 40 peer-reviewed publications – including involvement in the landmark LEAP trial – her research directly shapes how hip conditions are managed worldwide. Every PhysioTec physiotherapist is trained in Dr Grimaldi's evidence-based approach - so whichever physio you see, you receive our high standard of hip-focused care.
Conditions we commonly manage:
- Gluteal tendinopathy/hip bursitis/GTPS
- Hip joint conditions e.g., osteoarthritis, labral tears, hip impingement (FAIS), hip dysplasia/instability
- Groin pain, adductor, and thigh injuries
- Hip flexor pain and snapping hip
- Post-surgical hip rehabilitation
- Buttock pain – IFI, deep gluteal syndrome, SIJ pain
Hypermobility Physiotherapy
Hypermobility can cause pain, instability, fatigue and a range of other symptoms that are often misunderstood. We offer a dedicated Hypermobility Assessment for anyone unsure of their hypermobility status, and how it may relate to broader symptoms. Youth assessments welcome.
Our physios are experienced in joint protection strategies, safe and progressive strengthening, and long-term management of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) - helping you stay active and build confidence in your body.
Dance Physiotherapy
Dance places unique demands on the body. Our physios understand those demands from the inside - working with you to address injury, build strength and control, and perform at your best.
Specialised care for the dancing athlete:
- Dance injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Pre-pointe assessment and tertiary dance screening
- Dance ready screening for performance and safety
- Dance-specific conditioning and Pilates
Sports Physiotherapy
We don't just treat the pain and send you on your way. We assess how you run, how you move in key sport-related actions, and what is driving the problem - so you can return to sport with greater confidence. From youth to masters age groups, weekend warriors to competitive athletes, martial artists and gym goers, we provide rehabilitation, return-to-sport programs tailored to your goals, and help you reduce injury risk. Our Physio Bike Fit service helps cyclists optimise position to improve comfort, reduce injury risk and improve performance.
Starting or returning to the gym?
We work alongside your exercise physiologist or personal trainer to help make your transition back to training safe and successful.
The PhysioTec team has been providing physiotherapy in the local area since 2004. Our team brings extensive knowledge, skill and genuine care to every consultation.
We believe in understanding the whole picture - not just where it hurts, but what is driving it. This empowers you to actively participate in your own recovery and help prevent the problem from returning. A deep understanding of your body is the foundation of lasting recovery.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, arthritis, tendinopathy, bursitis, or frailty related to ageing, trauma or surgery — our team can help you overcome or manage the full range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Real-Time Ultrasound Muscle Training
We use real-time ultrasound to assess muscle contraction and assist with specific retraining. Seeing the muscle on screen while you feel the movement gives immediate biofeedback for trunk, hip, shoulder, knee and foot intrinsic muscles. Great for stability training.
Supervised Rehabilitation
Our range of Strength and Pilates Equipment supports home program setup, safe transition back into the gym, and supervised rehabilitation – giving your rehab the boost it needs.
